Nancy Oken-Redfield, Executive Board Member

Nancy Oken-Redfield, currently the Vice President of Camps, for Western Camps, Inc. has a proven Public Relations background. She is a highly qualified professional with a BA and Teaching Credential in Physical Education with a Health Addendum. CASE Special Adviser


Nicole Stott

- Astronaut, Engineer, Artist, Educator

Nicole is a veteran Astronaut with two spaceflights and 104 days living and working in space on both the Space Shuttle and the International Space Station (ISS).  She performed one spacewalk, was the first person to fly the robotic arm to capture the free flying HTV cargo vehicle, she was the last crew member to fly to and from their ISS mission on a Space Shuttle, and she was a member of the crew of the final flight of the Space Shuttle Discovery, STS-133.  She is also a NASA Aquanaut, who along with her NEEMO9 crew, lived and worked during an 18-day and longest saturation mission to date on the Aquarius undersea habitat. She's been with NASA for 27 years and retired from her post in 2015.

Nicole is the first Astronaut to paint in Space and is pursuing her next adventure as a full-time Artist. 

Nicole is thrilled to be CASE's Special Adviser, she loves the mandate of the organization and is passionate about opportunity to inspire young minds towards the exciting world of STEAM, with CASE.

Transportable Skills for the 21st Century

CASE embeds the Seven Survival Skills by Harvard Professor, Dr Tony Wagner into the framework of both the in-class and out-of-class experiential learning programs. 

It is very important youth learn and master their Seven Survival Skills. They must successfully navigate and create the pathway for dozens of different careers, and many jobs within each career, throughout their work life. They must adapt and adjust through this constant changing landscape. They must be more that a capable job seeker, they need to become innovative job creators.

From critical thinking to effective communication, right through to innovation and leadership, students will be motivated to learn and absorb these skills through problem based learning.
